You have recently noted that your car is releasing a lot of white smoke and wondering what might be the problem. This is an indication that your car engine has a problem. To be more specific, the gasket is not functioning properly. The most delicate part of your Volkswagen is the VW Cylinder Heads which are covered by the gasket. The function of the gasket is to seal and block the engine from the coolant passages. In case your gasket malfunctions, it will allow the coolant to penetrate to the cylinder and this causes it to be heated and turned to vapor after the engine is turned on.

Is it normal for a gasket to fail? In very rare cases will the gasket of your car malfunction. However, it may happen if there is overheating due to intense heat. The heat in turn causes the gasket to bend leading to the improper sealing of the engine head. You do not have to worry if this happens since you can always replace the gasket using a new one from the VW Company. The company has grown overtime since the Nazi era. It is among the four leading car manufacturers around the world. Lamborghini, Bentley and Audi are some of the cars that the company manufactures.

To ensure that the car you have is an original VW, it should have a VW blue logo on it. When going to replace the gasket of your Volkswagen, ensure you purchase from a genuine dealer who has parts that are manufactured by the company. After the engine heats abnormally, it causes the metal blocks to expand and exceed the limits. After it heats, it causes detonation which is also a cause for the burning of the gasket.

The burning of the gasket causes it to fail working properly. This results to the combustion of the cylinder heads. The out of time combustion occurs in the cold valves and pistons which are above the engine. This causes the valves and the gasket to strain more.

You can know if your car is experiencing a heating problem if there is a sound in your engine that is not normal. Such a sound is similar to that of a pinging engine or knocking. When you want to change the gasket, you will have to remove the engine.

Ensure that you unplug the mufflers and exchangers safely and continue to disassemble the fuel pump and pressure plate before removing the cylinder head. This part of the lower engine is fitted with eight nuts which have washers. Remove them and hold the cylinder head together with their assemblies.

If you want to replace the cylinder head at this point, ensure you have removed the sleeves and continue to slip the piston out. You can also choose to replace the compartment. Before you do so, remove the piston wrist and squeeze the pistons components out. Replace the gasket using the right size for your engine.

It is never an easy task to open an engine and replace the gasket of a car. If done by a novice, there are high chances that there will be more damage done. The gasket never expires and when it fails to work properly, it is a sign of more damage in your car engine.
