Safety Tips On The Portland Party Bus

By Della Monroe

The party bus is an exciting method of celebrating an occasion or simply throwing a party in a novel environment. It offers the advantage that it does not require cleaning up afterwards, since it is not a fixed venue and also because it is hired, so it does not belong to you. However, there are some tips that you should take note of when you use the Portland party bus. These are not to limit your enjoyment of the bus or to hamper your celebrations but they are common sense and are related to safety.

The driver has an exceptional level of responsibility in driving the bus. A bus is not an ordinary private car and it carries far more passengers than the latter. For this reason, you should follow a certain attitude of respect when talking to the driver, since your bad or inconsiderate behavior can cause them to become distracted from their driving or to drive poorly.

Do not argue with the driver. If the driver gives you an instruction, or tells you to stop doing something, you should obey them immediately. Do not argue with them or try to contest the issue. Even if they are annoyed or they talk to you in a harsh tone, aggravating them can detract from their ability to drive properly, and their driving can become hazardous.

The driver is legally obliged to obey all rules of the road in Portland OR. Do not ask the driver to do something that is illegal or that is dangerous to other road users.

Also, you should remain within the structure of the bus at all times. Do not try to reach out of the window or stand up too tall on the top of the bus. Some party buses have an open top. This is not usually a hazard, since the bus is designed to pass under all low-lying structures on its route. But if passengers try to do abnormal things on the bus, such as hanging out of windows or raising themselves up on top of it, passing structures can cause serious harm or death.

Third, do not exit the vehicle partially or completely while it is in motion. Do not hang out of the windows or extend yourself above the roof. If the bus has no roof, beware of extending yourself too far outside of it. Sometimes, bridges and other structures surrounding the road can pass very close to the passengers on the bus.

You should always remember that the driver is merely a driver like any other on the road. They are therefore required to obey all the rules of the road in Portland OR, just like anyone else. Never ask the driver to drive in a way that is hazardous or illegal, or put pressure on them to do so.

Generally speaking, rowdy or drunken behavior is dangerous to the driving of the bus and should not be allowed to distract the driver. The bus is a party vehicle but even so you should still try to restrict yourself from impairing the driver's ability to drive the bus.
