Tips In Making School Mascot Murals

By Christine Olson

Try remembering a time where you still were not in school anymore. If we guessed it right, you probably cannot remember a moment wherein you were stress free from that. This actually is pretty relatable to all of us. The parents always forced their kids to do good and school and to never quit, no matter what.

But then again, we actually cannot blame our folks from doing so. After all, this also is for your own benefit. Your future self sure will thank you for working hard right now. But then again, just because you need to do it does not mean you cannot splurge on a little fun. You may try making school mascot murals.

One of probably the most common ways of expressing how you really feel is through showing your emotions based on the creations you make. Aside from it being therapeutic, you also get recognition, and even cash from it. But before mastering the craft, you need to read and follow these steps first.

Number one on the list is to figure out what you really want to do take and list down everything that goes on inside your head. It surely could help whenever the time will come when you will be needed to make up your mind already. This also sorts out all your confusion and doubts that boggle you so much.

Second thing you should do is plan and measure every little measurement of all corners and spaces. What you got inside your head might possibly not be as accurate as how you thought it would be. While on the process, dealing with changes and adjustments may ruin the whole thing. Try to double check everything first.

A mural is a work of art placed somewhere which can be see by the public or the general people. You may think of it as contributing your talent without any payment at all. Because of the need to make it on a public place, you will want to check on it first. Some preparations may still be necessary.

Fourth is to paint everything in one color first. Place those different hues right after you make a base color of your surface. This way, it makes balancing and blending everything out way more messier than how it originally is supposed to be. Try something light like white or pastel colors for an easier handle.

Try painting from the background image and work your way into the front. Changing everything up again and again takes so much more time rather than not having to do it anymore. So before proceeding with your main picture, make sure that you already have your background done and completed already.

The last but definitely not the least is coating everything with liquid seal. Whether it is on water based form on inside a can, it still does not matter as long as you get to cover every nook and cranny of the image. Leaving a spot unprotected could start a problem for not just one part but the whole piece.
