You Can Travel And Make Money At The Same Time

By Maria Ross

Some people fantasize about traveling the world, but never put a plan in place because they think they can't afford it. They may save all year long, doing without their morning latte, eating in instead of dining out, and passing on year end close out sales, to have enough money for one great vacation. Others are more creative and have researched the best ways to travel and make money along the way.

You don't necessarily need to have a teaching degree to teach English or tutor youngsters in foreign countries. There are plenty of websites offering jobs for qualified applicants willing to spend a period of time in any one of a number of countries teaching students the basics of English. Accommodations are often included in with a salary and other benefits. English is not the only subject visitors to other countries can teach. Some have found work as Yoga, music, dance, and art instructors.

Even if you aren't a professional writer, you might earn extra income selling travel articles. This is a good idea for someone who doesn't want to be tied down to one area for a period of time. You can write anywhere, and the more exotic the location the more interested online publishers will be in your observations. Creating a blog describing your journey can be a money maker. Most people are interested in customs and cultures other than their own.

Travelers, who have a knack for selling things, can always find selling timeshares. Companies like to hire individuals who can relate and communicate with their customers. If you are American, the company will pair you with American tourists with money and time on their hands. The profit potential in this kind of work is very attractive.

The service industry offers a lot of interesting opportunities, especially for the younger generation. If you know how to mix drinks, you could get a job in a local bar. Youth hostels need reliable help, and hotels often hire foreigners who can translate from their country's native language into English.

It can be easier to break into the entertainment industry in small countries than in the United States. Street musicians, models, and film students have found work in films and television by frequenting areas where directors and producers eat and drink. You have to concerned about the legitimacy of any offer made to you however.

It seems that foreign countries place more importance on the value of art than the United States. That is one reason so many painters, designers, and sculptors opt to work there. Most of them take additional jobs to pay the rent, but don't mind if it means their art gets some recognition.

Traveling the globe is a wonderful opportunity for those with limited family responsibilities and a sense of adventure. You don't have to be independently wealth to do it either. You just have to keep an open mind to the possibilities and stay creative.
