How To Maintain Cleaning Wire Spoke Wheels

By Brenda Warner

Cleaning these objects in the right way would give you nothing to be ashamed about as you drive around town. They can be like a gold medal around your neck since you are fully aware that you have personally attended to them. So, eventually get the hang of the routine below and treat it as your accomplishment.

Find a washer which can provide you with a high level of pressure. Cleaning wire spoke wheels is not a forceful act mainly because you have tools which can get rid of the main foreign objects. Just get rid of those things for you not to be forced to deal with grime with your own bare hands.

Do not use detergent in the solution which you will be making. You can be with mild soap since there is still another item which can help your remove the dirt. This solution is simply to make sure that you will not be infected with the anything and that one can finish what was started.

After using the solution, you can already replace it with a stronger cleaner. This item will be the last thing which can deal with those sticky materials. It does not smell that bad and it will not cause you to sneeze all the time when you are doing the process. The motions would have to be the same. You only have to wipe harder this time.

Find flat shoelaces that you are no longer using. They have to be long and without any trace of wax. Cut them in half and use them to tie up the wheel at both sides so that you would not have to hold it while you are busy with the task with one hand. You need both hands to make sure that no dirt would be left in there.

The rest of the laces can be your polish brush. Remember that the spokes can really be thin. You cannot use your bare hands on this since that will leave marks and make you fail in trying to be friends with people who are already good with this. So, practice with those laces.

Minimize the amount of polish on the laces but not too much. Also, cover the rubber if you can. The least thing that you need right now is a wheel with marks. These marks can be permanent if you will not wipe them out right away. Therefore, exercise extreme caution and try not to go out of the zone by keeping your eyes and your focus on each spoke.

Do not touch the polished part until it is dry. Leave the wheel and come back to it after an hour. If some areas still appear to be wet, you might have applied added polish on them. This will be the time when you shall be needing a blower to speed things up. Just choose the average level for that.

The wax will be the finishing task to it all. This can give the illusion that you have just brought the wheels a few days ago. Making an impression is about hard work and the right routine.
