Transportation can be defined as the movement of goods, services and information as well from one place to another within Denmark, TN. Water engines were introduced and these enabled transport on the numerous water bodies. The rivers that were earlier impossible to cross, were now possible to navigate. Larger water vessels were built to enable intercontinental travel and business ventures.

Air conveyance was the last kind of movement to be made possible. Vessels were designed to enable the movement of people from one place to another through the air. This system of movement was very quick and convenient for those that used it. The disadvantage comes with the intense costs involved and also the high rates of accidents.

In all these conveyance means, the use of petroleum is unavoidable. It is absolutely necessary for them have a steady consumption of petroleum in order for them to function properly. However, not all of them can be used in the movement of oil and its volatile products. Road conveyance is highly effective in such a venture. Several accidents have been noted and the damages are usually catastrophic in nature as many lives are lost in the process.

The most effective system of transport ting highly volatile substances such as petroleum is the use of pipelines. In this mode of movement a tunnel is dug underground at a level where no other form of traffic is active. These tunnels are then piped and then petroleum is allowed to move from the source to the point of need
